USA Student Visa - How to Apply ?

1. First submit funding documents to obtain I-20 from your prospective University / College.

2. After obtaining i20, submit the SEVIS fees Online (350$)

3. Fill the Non- immigrant Visa form (DS-160).

4. Fill the Visa application form Online and pay the Visa fee (185$) online / offline.

5. Once your fee is showing in Visa portal, book two dates at convenient Location –

    i) Visa Biometric Date

    ii) Visa Interview Date

6. Prepare your Visa documentation file with all relevant academic and Visa filing docs

7. Prepare for the Visa interview (Most Crucial)

8. Appear for the Visa interview on time and answer the Visa officer’s questions honestly.

9. Visa decision is given on the SPOT.

10. If decision is favorable, Visa officer will keep your Passport. You will get Visa within 7-10 days.

     Any international student willing to pursue a full-time academic program in the United States generally requires a student visa.

     F-1 visa candidates are typically allowed to work on-campus part-time (20 hrs week) during their academic year and full-time (40 hrs week) during scheduled breaks. Off-campus employment is possible after completion of 9 months of study.

      

     6. 5. Can I extend my US student visa?

     Yes, extensions are possible, but they require approval from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). They must be based on valid reasons such as program changes, additional degree levels, or academic difficulties.

      

     7. 6. Are there any English language requirements for a US student visa?

     While there is no specific English language proficiency requirement for obtaining a US student visa, proficiency may be assessed during the visa interview or through other means.

      

     8. 7. Can I travel outside the U.S. with a USA Student Visa?

     Yes, you can travel outside the U.S. while on an F-1 Visa, but you will need to have the appropriate documents for re-entry, including a valid F-1 Visa and a Form I-20 with a valid travel signature from your designated school official.

      

     9. 8. Do I need health insurance to obtain a US student visa?

     Insurance is NOT a mandatory visa requirement, but all student must buy health insurance at the time of starting their studies( can be bought after Visa is granted).
