6. CAS Letter for the intake you are applying

UK Student Visa - How to Apply ?

1. First submit funding documents to obtain CAS letter from your prospective University / College.

2. After your Medical, start the Visa application online

3. Select the applicable VISA application form online

4. Submit the IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge) fees online. Right now, the IHS fees is around 778 Pounds / year. This IHS fee is mandatory. In case your Visa is rejected IHS fees is refunded.

5. Fill the Visa application form Online and pay the Visa fee (490 Pounds) online. + VFS charges (as applicable).

6. Afterwards, book a suitable date for VISA Biometrics at your convenient Location.

7. Upload all the necessary documents online or take them to VFS for uploading.

8. Prepare your Visa documentation file with all relevant academic and Visa filing docs

9. Prepare for the Visa interview. Though NOT mandatory, but a large number of applicants are receiving Interview calls from embassy. So one must be ready for Interview, In case they receive an Interview Request.

10. Appear for the Visa interview on time and answer the Visa officer’s questions honestly.

11. Visa decision is NOT given on the SPOT. You will get to know your Visa status only after your passport is returned.

For living expenses - you must show minimum financial evidence of £1,483/month (London) & £1,136/month (outside London). The exact amount you will need to show will depend on the length of your course and where you will be studying in the UK
