Spouse Visa Overview
Spouse Visa has to be applied when a Spouse intend to join / unite with his/ her Spouse residing in a foreign country. Spouse visa can be different based on the Visa status of his / her spouse. For example: If somebody’s Spouse is Studying in USA on a F1 visa, then his / her spouse based in India needs to file for F2 dependant Visa. Alternatively, If somebody’s Spouse is working in USA on a H1b visa, then his / her spouse based in India needs to file for H4 Spouse Visa.
Similarly, spouses can join their Husbands / wife who is studying/ working in a foreign country by applying for the appropriate visa. Spouse / dependent Visa are linked to the Visa status of the main Visa holder and any changes to the Visa status of the primary Visa holder will affect the Visa status of the dependant/ spouse Visa holder. Further, one has to carefully select the Visa category in which the Visa should be filed, prepare the documents and accordingly prepare for the Interview (Wherever reqd.)
